The Human Resource Generalist will be a valuable member of our Human Resources team supporting national healthcare provider with hundreds of sites across U.S. This position reports to HR Director. The HR Generalist will be responsible for the successful recruiting of corporate staff and onboarding of corporate and clinical employees as well as onboarding of independent contractors nationwide. The HR Generalist will provide support to employees and people leaders. This is a full-time role offering $63,000 salary plus benefits inclusive of immediate health/dental/vision coverages, 15 days of vacation, 5 sick days, 401k Plan with company match and more.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Participate in the implementation of HR initiatives that support business objectives.
- Monitor and maintenance of HRIS systems for onboarding, benefits, time keeping, LOA and training requirements.
- Maintain employee records and files electronically in HRIS systems.
- Follow company policy and procedures, and maintain knowledge of the federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist employee with questions regarding policy, procedures, benefits, LOAs and payroll as well as support people leaders by providing relevant information.
- Responsible for onboarding process including but not limited to, background checks, new hire enrollment, orientations, benefit enrollment. Actively assist new hirs with timely completion of the onboarding process by tracking their progress and contacting employees via the phone regularly.
- Initiate, monitor, and report compliance with required new hire and annual trainings.
- Collaborate with the recruiting team to ensure successful onboarding of new clinicians.
- Maintain the Applicant Tracking System for non-clinical positions, posting open requisitions, conducting initial screenings and assisting hiring managers with the interviews and process.
- Collaborate with Payroll teams to ensure accurate input of personnel changes or resolve employee’s payroll related questions.
- Assist employees with benefit enrolment questions and collaborate with outsources benefits provider as well as support the annual open enrollment processes including employee communications of open enrollment materials and scheduling of open enrollment meetings.
- Manage HR inbox and provide response to inquiries form employees
- Respond quickly and appropriately to crisis situations
- All other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:- 3 years of experience in HR Generalist role with emphasis on onboarding and training new and current associates.
- Knowledgeable in federal labor laws, leaves of absence, workers compensation & etc.
- Obtain PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification within 24 months of starting this role
- Proficiency with Microsoft office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
- Ability to perform duties independently and with a great degree of accuracy and attention to detail, meeting stablished deadlines, working effectively remotely. Must be comfortable working in a remote setting across time zones.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain policies and procedures. Proficiency in delivering training remotely and in-person.
- Experience advising leaders on policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct routine business correspondence and communications to associates.
- Must be able to demonstrate skills in the following areas: problem solving, project/task management, time management, dependability, good judgment, strong communication and follow-up, service delivery, and confidentiality.
- Positive and upbeat attitude and professional approach with ability to work well with others.
PREFERENCES:- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification
- Experience with multi-state labor law
- Experience in Healthcare industry
- Proficiency with MS Teams, SharePoint and Google Workspace
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is a “remote” work from home position. This role handles sensitive, confidential, financial information, work must be performed in a private setting with a door. Must have the ability to join “virtual” online meetings as required both with video and voice.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasional lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
